HALKIRK GALA WEEK - SUNSET WALK - SATURDAY 12TH JUNE 2010

The Walk

Join the 8 mile walk at 5.00 pm on Saturday, 12th June and you will be helping raise money and awareness for local charities.

Of the sponsorship money raised, 60% will be split equally between the local branches of ENABLE, Riding for the Disabled and Highland Hospice; the remaining 40% will go to Halkirk Gala Week for community benefit.

The Location

The walk will start at the Recreation Park, Bridge Street, Halkirk and finish at the Ross Institute. You will be taking in some of the most scenic views in Caithness along the route (click here for map).

The Money

Once you have completed your application form (PDF - MS Word.), you need to send us a £10 registration fee (£5 for children aged between 13 & 17). You will then be sent a sponsorship form to start your fundraising and an information booklet.

What's included?

For your fee, you will receive:

  • An information booklet;
  • A t-shirt;
  • Drinks, toilets, stewards and first-aid staff along the route;
  • Soup and sandwiches;
  • Clearly marked route with free views!
